link between C1 of the ribose sugar and C5 of uracil rather than the usual
C1-N1 bond seen in uridine. Because of the C-C link, it has additional rotational
mobility and conformational flexibility. Furthermore, the N1 position of
pseudouridine contains another hydrogen bond donor.
